Cotton Covered Plastic Boning Tape

12mm PLASTIC Boning

Plastic boning is perfect for providing the stiffness and structure support for your project but without adding too much weight. The centre of the boning is rigid polyester plastic 7mm wide and 2.3mm thick. The plastic centre is covered in a cotton sleeve with an approximate 2.5mm overlap each side of the plastic to allow stitches to be picked up to attach to your garment if necessary. The Boning can be cut to length with a good quality pair of dressmaker’s scissors.

The plastic boning is available in 3m lengths or one continuous length of 20m and in colour choices of black and white

The weight of the 12mm (1/2”) plastic boning is approximately 16g per metre
